Another weekend, another birthday party!

Today was Moses' birthday party. Most of the cast was there--Mae, Lowell, H.W. (the other Henry), and Noah. Leo was out of town:-(

Hope you had a nice birthday Aunt Rachel...

Henry selected your card--not sure if you got it yet. We're lame like that.

Yesterday I finally put some clothes away in "your" closet and Henry said, "Rachel's bed" and climbed up all by himself. Sniff.

Stacking...

Henry is sort of obsessed with stacking. I can remember when he was 8 months old (it's all a blur now, but whenever it is they start stacking blocks) he would stack his alphabet blocks as high as they could go before falling. Eventually he could get the alphabet blocks about as tall as himself and then he moved on to other things. He'll stack anything--toys, pillows, it doesn't matter. When Aunt Rachel moved in with us she brought a laundry basket full of the things from her pantry that she didn't want to throw away but didn't want to take with her in the big move to PA. Things like flour, sugar, tea, etc. I've kept the basket next to the table because Henry enjoys pulling everything out and stacking as high as he can. Sometimes it's just the canned food, sometimes just boxes...but today it was a mix.

Elmo's World

Here's two versions of Henry singing the beloved theme to Elmo's World. The first one is cute. The second makes me think Henry might be listening to a little too much of Daddy's music.

I love him

Henry is the best boyfriend I've ever had. He likes to cuddle. He likes to go to the park with me and have picnics. He likes to look at flowers at the botanical gardens. He laughs at all my jokes. He always holds my hand in public. He listens to and seems to like the music I play and he will dance with me anywhere, anytime. He is always willing to grocery shop with me. He shares his food with me without complaint (and I share mine too). He always says thank you when I hand him something and when I sneeze he says, "Bless you, mama". He likes to give hugs and kisses when I'm least expecting them. And when he's upset about something, he does not hesitate to let me know why.

Yesterday we climbed up a large hill and then ran down it, holding hands and laughing. Just because it was there.
