One of my new favorite developments of late is Henry's ability to voice his approval (or disapproval) of music. We'll be driving down the road and I will hear, "Good song" from the back seat, followed generally by arms flailing in pure dancing delight. Unfortunately, dada has a lot of "no, no, next song, next song" music in his car that is NOT met with flailing arms and delight. But, I find it very helpful that he tells me now.
He also requests very specific songs to be sung to him at bedtime. "Grandpa's Farm" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" are current favorites. I like requests, because, again, I find it very helpful. No sense messing around with "Wheels on the Bus" if that is not what the people want.
