A weekend in pictures...

The heat just sucks your ambition and so we have not been taking any pictures of our adventures lately and when we do we bring the junky point and shoot which takes mostly terrible pictures, but it's light and portable.

Here are some pictures from this weekend. We're about to go swimming and then out to eat. Maybe I'll post something later.

Henry goes with his daddy to water the garden in the morning (and to feed the fleet of cats). It's so hot that this is really the only time of day you can be outside, without being submerged in water. You can see from these pictures why Henry might believe grass color is yellow...and why we picked a rotten year to plant a garden. It's rained maybe 3 times in the last year, I think.

Yesterday afternoon we went to Cabellas. I think we spent 2 hours there walking around. They have an aquarium and several (dead) animal exhibits featuring zebras, bears, elephants, rhino's, etc. They have a general store with a fudge shop and a restaurant and a shooting range like they have at amusement parks. Henry was too scared to walk inside of it but he wanted to stand from afar and stare at it. I think he was pretty fascinated but the spooky music, I don't know.

Then this morning Henry and daddy made a very large train using all of the blocks we have.

And then we went to the intramural fields and hit baseballs. We got a T-ball stand and that seems to work pretty well. After a while though, Henry just wanted to lay in the dirt and dig for bugs.
