Justin is working on a birthday party slide show so that should be ready some time this week. Today we went to Put-Put and just took video. Justin said he would also make that into something. This afternoon we played in the sprinkler.
Eleanor update: She eats when Chela feeds her on MWF and the rest of the week we haven't been doing it, other then giving her apples or a strip of red pepper to gum on and drool all over. But today I gave Eleanor some yogurt and she did not break out into hives like Henry! So perhaps she will not be allergic to cow's milk like he was. That would be a major relief. She probably ate the equivalent of one tablespoon. I also gave her a whole wheat cracker and I really can't tell if any of it actually got swallowed or if it's like Cookie Monster and just in a billion pieces all over her shirt. I am determined to cook up a sweet potato this week and see how that goes. I am supposed to only introduce one new food a week but I didn't manage to do that with Henry either. We'll see. She's not a huge eater like he was. It was very clear at four months he wanted food and Eleanor at 6 months is really not that in to it. If I can't get her to open her mouth to fit the spoon in, that's a pretty good indication she is not interested.
I have no idea where her teeth are. I am pretty sure Henry had a mouth full by now. She doesn't drool but she's constantly teething on objects.
Sleep is somewhat predictable. She's usually asleep at 7 and awake at 7 with two feedings in the night and then three naps a day with two hours of wakefulness in between the naps. One of the naps is 2 hrs and the other two are 40 min to an hour in length. But some nights she wakes up more frequently but always goes right back to sleep within 5 minutes. It wakes
me up though but I also go right back to sleep. But, after 6 months, I am getting tired. My body feels old. I know that some time though in the next three months the night feedings/wake ups will end and I will never have to deal with this again (at least on a regular basis) and so that helps me cope. The interesting thing about putting Eleanor down for a nap or to bed at night is she refuses to let us put her to sleep. She will not rock or nurse to sleep. My attempts to do that are met with squirming and fussing. She wants to be put down and for us to leave. If we stay there she just screams. We have to leave the room and then she stops screaming.
But otherwise, she's very happy and loving and likes to be where Henry is. Henry loves her too. At night he tells me he loves me and daddy and Kitty and Eleanor. When Chela leaves the house with her to go for a walk he gets hysterical. When we go in the car and she's not with us he always asks me where she is. If Justin or Chela are holding her, Henry tells them to be careful (he never says that to me:-) I think they are going to be great friends.
