7 Months

Eleanor and Silvia. Her dolly that she loves.

Eleanor is 7 months old today. I feel a little choked up saying that. 7 months seems like...a long time. A big girl. An older baby. She is such a good girl. She is so smiley and happy and easy and wonderful and cuddly. She just wants to play and play and smile and laugh and sleep.

Tomorrow Eleanor and I are flying to Pittsburgh to see my brother and sister in law and to attend my very dear friend's baby shower. I would not normally make such an effort to attend a baby shower but I've known Marci since 5th grade and she was a bridesmaid at my wedding. I will be leaving Henry for the first time...ever. He's never been away from me longer than 8 hours and never further than 5 miles in distance. E and I will be gone 4 days and 3 nights. I am sort of freaked out and nervous about how we'll both do (Henry and I). At the same time, I'm looking forward to having Eleanor all to myself. Stay tuned for 50,000 pictures. I'm not even going to bring my camera since my brother will probably document every other second we're there:-)

Eleanor is probably close to 20 lbs. Not sure on measurements but will know in the next couple weeks when we go in for the next round of immunizations. I'm breaking them up and delaying just slightly. She had a mild reaction with them so I'm just going a little slower this time. She is waking up 1-3 times per night. She eats for about 5 min. and falls right back to sleep. She's in the crib now so it's a little more effort for me to get her out to feed her but it's not too bad. She naps 3 times a day. She could do a 9:00, 12:00, 4:00 nap schedule if Henry didn't wake her up in the morning. He's very loud, you see. So she's up between 6 and 7, about 45 min to an hour earlier than she wants to be which makes all her naps about 1 hour earlier. She goes to bed between 6 and 7...just depends on us. She gets about 15 hrs. per day.

She eats a solid meal once a day and tastes various foods two or three times a day. She is getting several teeth at once right now, just how Henry did. She is most amused by her brother and I love to see them interact. They take their baths together. He is tall enough to push her in her stroller. He kisses her. He makes her laugh. He snatches toys right out of her hands...
