The thing that always annoys me about these type of articles is the fact that it is always a comparison of the "emotional vs. financial" cost of parenting. There is never any discussion about how great it is become selfless....how rewarding it is to spend most of your day concerned more for the well-being of others than for yourself. Yes, emotionally, kids make me happier and more fulfilled. Yes, financially, they take all my money away. But, that is not the whole story. Not even close.
