I'm just going to brag...and document some memories

Henry has been saying two and 3 word "sentences" for a while now and once or twice he's said a 4-worder but today we were driving to the doctor for #2 flu shot and Henry said, "Mama, no more the bread." (I had given him a piece of bread for the drive). I was so proud of him.

He went into the closet this morning and found a box of toys I'd stashed (I try to not have too many out at once or it's overwhelming for him...and us) and he submerged from the closet with a toy phone. He was just chattering away non-stop, gibber jabber toddler speak and I said, "Who are you talking to?" and he said "Santa".

We were raking up the leaves this morning and Henry LOVES to help. So we got him a small grocery bag and he put on my gloves and put leaves in the bag. It's so cute when he does this---he really loves it. He likes to help unload the dishwasher and help put the clothes in the dryer--but the best is when he tries to sweep or rake. He really works hard! Or when I am sweeping he wants to hold the dustpan and he does a great job, but then he dumps the contents back out onto the floor.

Henry has been playing a lot more by himself lately. I'd say he can even go 40 min. Or he'll play with the same toy for a really long time. He seems to pick a toy for the day and then stick with it for incredible lengths of time. Like the bus, his trains, or his new lawnmower. Yesterday it was his new helicopter.

I love him.
