Henry's all better now, and mom and dad are all better, and sleep is once again plentiful. Not perfect, but enough. He woke up way too early this morning and I tried to coax him back to sleep but he kept sitting up and kissing and hugging me. He'd pat me on the shoulder and say, "Mama. I love you." I mean, COME ON! Does it get any better? He got ten hours sleep --he normally needs 12, but he seemed okay. Justin went to have lunch with him at school and he said he was having a grand old time with his friends.
Yesterday, Henry took a two hour nap. I kept listening on the monitor for him to wake up and finally I heard some Henry gibberish. I walked in his room and he got SO PISSED OFF. He started flinging himself around and saying NO NO! and pushed me and took swings at me. I was so confused. I asked him several things and he kept getting madder and madder and finally I said, "You want mama to go bye-bye?" and he stopped freaking out and said as calm and sweetly as ever, "Bye bye mama". So I walked out and waited in the other room while he went back to talking to his sheet, or whatever he was doing, and after a minute he called out "Mama!" all happy.
Henry is a really good dancer, folks. I need to get some footage on here ASAP.
What else....Henry is still kissing and hugging us like it's his job. He will smooch his face into ours so hard and when he pulls back he leaves this glob of either spit or snot on our cheek. Awwwwww.
He's on a verbal rampage still. I guess it will just keep going. He seems to learn several new words a day and constantly springs them on us as if he's always said them. He is singing too now. He can sing the Wheels on the Bus pretty well. I gotta get a recording of it.
Oh yeah, big news. Henry can count to 10. He does not do it all at once, though. He will be playing with play doh and then say "6,7,8,9" for no reason. He loves to say 1,2,3 GO!
I've probably already written this..but he can recognize O, A, H and E.
My favorite words of his are :di-woh-woh (dinosaur), bass with dada (bath with dad), all done, and waterwaterwaterwater (he wants some water, and he wants it now).
I love him.
