23 months

Every time a month passes my initial reaction is just wow. Wow. How did we get to 23 months already?

This is going to be quick b/c Henry should be waking any second.

I thought his eating had curtailed but it looks like that was just for a week, and of course it was during the week he had a cold so not sure why I was concerned. But he was literally eating nothing this past week and then beginning yesterday he has been on a feeding frenzy. For breakfast today he ate mini waffles, several blueberries, some cheerios, juice and then we went by his school to meet with the Director (that's a long story) and she had bagels and muffins--he ate 3 mini muffins and an entire bagel.

Sleep---he is finally sleeping though the night--for real. He goes to sleep between 7 and 7:30 and does not make a peep again till some time between 6:45 and 7:30. Naps are around noon and last anywhere from 1 hr to 2 hrs.

Tantrums are still rare enough that when they happen Justin and I muster every last bit of control we have to keep from laughing. I don't know why it's so funny....it's not funny...and yet...we can't help but crack up. We are getting better. But, again, it's rare and when it does happen it's pretty easy to get him out of it.

The hitting--wow. Hopefully I do not jinx it but as soon as I wrote on this blog that he was a hitter--he stopped hitting. He hasn't hit anyone at all since the day before I posted that. I'm hoping this lasts although I hear they go through another hitting phase later on.

It's nice that Henry is no longer feeling under the weather. He was not super sick so it was just enough for me to question if he was mellowing out on the goofiness and diet....but no, he's still a huge goofball who will mow down food. As for temperament, I was in that Directors office just over an hour this morning and Henry sat there and entertained himself with books and cars the WHOLE time. I'm so getting paid back with a monster teenager...I'm just sure of it. Or my next one is going to be a handful. We'll see. But Henry is just the sweetest, funniest, happiest little guy and Justin and I could not be more thrilled to have him.
