We had to give Henry his first hair cut around 4 months of age. He had these long strands of hair on the top of his head that were approx. 2 inches longer than any of his other hair. We had to cut it again around 6 or 7 months because he had a mullet and since then I've lost count. We used to shave it with clippers but he HATES the sound--it terrifies him. So Justin began using scissors but we were constantly snipping and cutting it and it was all uneven so finally I decided enough was enough, the boy needed a real haircut by a professional.
Yesterday we wandered over to the
Hairs Lair. The owner only cuts children's hair and the place is stocked with toys. It was done in 5 minutes and Henry barely noticed. I paid $20 but I figure you get what you pay for--it's locally owned, we did not have to wait, and there is a
wooden toy shoppe and a
gelato store right next door, so we made it a pretty fun outing. $2 Tuesdays! Henry got raspberry and I got banana--he finished mine off for me.

He looks very handsome with his new haircut.
