Eleanor update...

She is SMILING!!!!

She started last week but this week she's really been turning on the charm. She smiles huge awesome smiles now. She makes spit bubbles, she coos and gaws and does all kinds of sounds.

Henry was trying to get her to smile at him tonight and he was tickling her and smiling at her and using baby-talk. Really sweet sibling moment.

She, like her brother, prefers to be in bed by 7. She wakes almost every morning at 7:20. (Henry's favorite time is 7:15). This is wildly different from the early Henry days when he went to bed at 10 or 11 and woke constantly to eat and we got out of bed around 9 AM. I don't hear from her again till 10:30 at the earliest and 2:30AM at the latest, so if I wanted to I could do something outside our house in the evenings. I even went to the gym the other night and was not even worried. The good thing about her too is she is not really awake so if she started grunting Justin could go in there and she'd suck on his finger for an hour before she'd awake fully or get upset...so there's no mad rush to get back, if I needed to.

She's not a voracious eater, really. I feel like every time I feed her she's like, "Yeah, okay...I guess I'll have some" and then she's done in a minute or two. Henry used to eat ALL THE TIME.

She's stopped her hour long screaming fits at night, so that's wonderful. She will still get fussy if we're not prompt about putting her to bed but it won't last more than a couple minutes.

She's much quieter to sleep next to now. The only time she grunts is when she is getting hungry, needs to be repositioned, is cold or is trying to poop, or she has poo in her diaper. I go through the checklist when I hear her and then she's quiet again and then I'm back to sleep. I really can't complain sleep-wise.
