We had a great day today...

Henry is fully potty trained now and I was senselessly worried that it would be harder to deal with all the pottying than with the diapers. I was wrong. This is much better. He had 5 accidents the first day (the 31st) and one the second day of training and none since then so I'd say we're good to go. I expect he'll have an accident here and there but so far so it hasn't happened. He HATES being wet (he wants us to change his shirt if a single drop of water gets on him and it's only been recent that he won't become hysterical if he has to go outside in the rain). He also can't stand anything "yucky" on him (he will not play with glue) so perhaps his neurosis is working for us for once.

Eleanor is six weeks old today which is when she's supposed to be a lot easier, but I think this happened a week and a half ago. She sort of peaked with her crying and now she hardly is crying at all. Only when she is put in her carseat or if I've gone too long without feeding her (I can't keep track like I did with Henry). But the evening crying sessions are done. She's much easier to put down at night. She's smiling. She's easy to soothe. She smells awesome. I definitely like her now (as opposed to just loving her because she's my baby).

Today Henry woke at 6:50 and she woke at 7:30. I was able to feed and dress him in that time before she woke and then she and I nursed and dressed and cuddled (Henry likes to play cars on my bed while I'm doing my morning routine with E) and then he watched a little TV while E went back to sleep and I cleaned the kitchen and then we all went to the library (E slept the whole time) and got a bunch of new books and then came home for lunch with daddy (E was awake a bit) and then the 3 of us all laid down for a 2 hr and 20 min nap that required zero effort on my part for either children (that's always nice) and then when we woke we read all our new books and played play dough and danced to some records and then daddy came home. He gave Eleanor her bath while Henry and I went to a nearby Thai restaurant and picked up some take-out (we almost always cook so this was nice) and then we came home, ate, and while daddy was rocking E to sleep I gave H his bath and read more books and by 6:50 both kids were asleep. A perfect day.
