I do not have much time (ever) before one of my children will be needing me so I wanted to use this time to say thank you to the many many people who have been so generous to us since Eleanor was born in November. I have received tons of meals from friends and generous gifts and checks from family and it is all so appreciated and we have done a very poor job and saying thank you. Not b/c we aren't thankful but b/c we have just barely been treading water these last few weeks trying to adjust to our new routine with the baby. The four of us have essentially been house-bound these last several weeks with the weather, the holidays, no school for the toddler, a newborn to care for, and now potty training. We are pretty spent. I think Justin is actually looking forward to going back to work:-)
Thank you so much for all the love and support. We really needed it and this transition to a family of 4 was much easier than becoming a family of three, because back then I did not know how to ask for or receive support. This time I do and I realize people just want to be helpful and it's not a burden and I am grateful for all of you. Thank you Hoffman/Gamble/Voorhees/Steele/McSwain/ & our McFadden family, and my friends Nina, Liz, Debby, Val, Mary, Jordan, Sarah W, Sarah R, Sarah L, Blair, Erin, Amy N, Megan N, Beth R, Sunni, Maia, Rebecca, Stephanie, Liza, Jami, Emily, Shawna, Marci, the Beaver/Duncans, our co-workers....we are so lucky to have you in our lives.
Happy New Year!!!!!
(And a special shout out to Bill who does not read this blog...but that blanket you got us is used daily..and of course Rachel for the incredible sweater and toys but I count you in the Hoffman family:-)
