...is a hippo named Gloria. This all started a few weeks ago when we stumbled upon the move-it song from Madagascar 2 on Youtube. He's been very obsessed with the song and singing it all the time and begging for it to be played in the car and on the computer. So we got the genius idea to get the movie and now he's obsessed with that. He does not want to do anything, go anywhere at all, ever again, except watch Madagascar 2. He gets to watch 40 min to an hour of movie time or TV time with me in the AM and then 30 min with daddy in the PM on the afternoons I work, and it's been a struggle to turn it off. He cries and throw fits and seems so desperate to catch one more glimpse of this movie. It's the first thing he talks about in the morning and the last thing he talks about at bed time.
Last night he told us about 30 times (not an exaggeration, I promise), "I love Gloria." We both started to laugh and then it became ridiculous how many times he was saying it and then he grabbed Justin's face and said, "Daddy, look at me. Stop laughing. I love Gloria. I know her." We tried so hard to stop laughing, we really did. But Gloria's a cartoon hippo...so it's funny.
Coincidentally Henry's toothpaste is Madagascar themed (I just grabbed it not even seeing what was on there) and Henry noticed last night Gloria's picture is on there so he begged for us to get the tube of toothpaste out and let him hold it. He cuddled the toothpaste.
First crushes are so painful. I'm not ready for this yet.
that's so funny - lowell also has a crush on a "gloria", but its the gloria (penguin) from happy feet...weird isn't it?
