He wakes. We cuddle. We read books. We potty. I make Henry oatmeal and he stands on the chair next to the stove and ransacks our large utensils container. Then he begs to stir the oatmeal. Then I add seeds, berries, cinnamon and honey and no matter what else I offer, he always always wants this exact same thing for breakfast. He calls it, "email". "Mommy, I want some email." He doesn't want juice. He wants a cold glass of water. Then after we eat together at the table, he wants to sit on the couch and watch George, followed by Sid the Science Kid. After a few min of couch time he yells, "I want a snack!" and I bring him a bar. Sometimes he wants more snack and I bring him cheerios or a banana. He likes to sing the TV songs along with the characters and he likes to dance when they dance.
After 45 min to an hour of TV (depends when he wakes and depends how late we sit down to George) we get dressed. I used to pick out his clothes but lately he's been very vocal about what he wants to wear. Yesterday he wanted his helicopter shirt and his elastic waist jersey polka dot pants that are size 12 months and are now like capris on him. Nothing about this outfit matched. I tried to offer other choices but he put the pants to his cheek and said, "But these ones are soft." I couldn't really argue with that so I let him wear this ridiculous outfit to school. It was not till later I remembered it was picture day. Stay tuned for those.
Then we either read more or jump on the bed, play cars or all of the above. Around 9:45 we gather our things and leave for school. If it's a non school day (Tu/Thurs) we head out for our outing.
I'll write a bedtime routine post later. Or maybe Justin will?
