We're home!

I had a baby yesterday. Now I am home. Henry and Eleanor are sleeping and I am eating ice cream for the first time in many many long months:-)

I feel great. I am not sleep deprived. I am not in pain. I have no postpartum anxiety like last time. Henry is being perfect. He keeps kissing me. In the car on the way home he said out of the blue, "I missed you mommy. Give me a big five. (that means high five)." He's been kissing Eleanor and me non-stop. He pats her head. I'm not saying this will last but it's nice for right now.

It's mandatory they escort you out of the hospital in a wheel chair. I had Eleanor in my lap and Henry was walking alongside me, holding my hand. Periodically he would kiss my arm and say, "Good boy mom."

We came home, Justin made spaghetti, we ate, we went for a walk and played outside and then came in for bath, books, snack, and bedtime. It's so...normal. (so far).

As for the birth story...give me some time...a couple days...maybe tomorrow...not sure. It's a nice story. All went perfectly. Exactly how I fantasized, basically. SO MUCH better than last time. I am very very very very lucky and THANKFUL.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.
